Additional producers certified by the RSPO….

Since then, two further palm oil plantations, PT Hindoli and the IOI Corporation BHD (Pamol Sabah Palm Oil Mill) have both passed their RSPO ‘Principles & Criteria’ sustainability audits. Congratulations to them. As a result of their dedication and determination end product manufacturers and retailers now have access to ample supplies of RSPO certified crude palm oil.

Our call to action….

Our call to action is directed squarely at end product manufacturers and retailers. Our message is both clear and urgent. RSPO certified sustainable crude palm oil is now available. Please support our vital work by placing your orders without delay!

GreenPalm progress…

We would also urge members of the GreenPalm programme, if they have not done so already, to calculate their use of palm and palm kernel oil for the coming year and purchase GreenPalm Certificates accordingly.

By doing so they will be directly supporting the production of sustainable palm and palm kernel oil, and will be able to tell their customers and the wider marketplace that they are doing so.

Two of our members, Danisco and Henkel, have already taken that first step, and are achieving excellent PR coverage as a result.

Certificate trading…

If you haven’t visited our trading platform www.greenpalm.org for a while, take another look. It now displays the 5 most recent palm and palm kernel oil certificate trades including Off Market Deals which are displayed as OMD. We hope this helps to provide a quicker, clearer picture of current bids and offers.

Balancing up…

Just a quick reminder that the 3 month ‘balancing up’ period for the trade of 2008 GreenPalm Certificates ends on the 31 March 09. If you need any help on this score, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
